Centre for Peace and Democracy (CPD) has received grant funds for Support for Joint Galkayo Peacebuilding Initiative project in Galkayo District through Somalia Stability Fund (SSF).
The expected outcome of the project is enhanced community capacity to prevent, resolve and contain destructive conflicts through establishment of effective and integrated community managed and led dispute settlement mechanisms in Galkayo and South Mudug conflict axis.
Project Target group
The project targets all communities that live in Galkayo Town and South Mudug conflict axis, with main objective of bringing together communities residing in both north and south coexist peacefully and harmoniously where citizens collectively contribute towards peace and development.
End of Project external audit is required in the agreement between Centre for Peace and Democracy (CPD) and Adam Smith International acting on behalf of Somalia Stability Fund (SSF) therefore wishes to engage the services of an audit firm for the purpose of the auditing the project expenditure between 01 May 2019 to 31st October 2020 amounting approximately USD 720,000.
The objective of the audit is to assess whether the project implemented by Centre for Peace and Democracy (CPD) has been implemented in accordance with the following.

In order to complete this engagement, a combination of the following procedures should be used:
The Centre for peace and democracy expects the selected firms to complete the audit assignment within 3 weeks from the moments award is given to commence work.
